As we age, the youthfulness of our skin begins to diminish as lines and wrinkles start to appear. This is largely due to the loss of collagen, a protein that is responsible for adding structure, strength, and volume to our skin. Now, thanks to dermal fillers you can replace the volume you’ve lost over time. The result? A natural, more younger-looking you. Fillers can be used to correct wrinkles, improve lip definition, and address the signs of aging from the inside out.


How it works:
All young skin has 2 things in common 1) hyaluronic acid and 2) collagen. Found in all skin tissue and identical from species, these building blocks are responsible for maintaining the skin’s volume. As we age, the skin naturally loses its volume as these critical building blocks begin to deteriorate. By injecting a dermal filler into the skin, we are able to mimic the effects of collagen and hyaluronic acid and produce the look and feel of hydrated skin. By filling depressions in the skin, wrinkles and folds are considerably softened or eliminated.



What to expect:
Dermal fillers are injected directly into the treatment site in small amounts using an ultra fine needle. Topical and/or local anesthetic may be used to minimize any discomfort to the patient. The results are instantaneous in most cases and can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years depending on the treatment selected. Some swelling may be evident at the injection site immediately following the procedure, but should resolve within a few hours.
